“Horizon 5” is a semi-abstract painting that evokes a landscape somewhere between dream and reality. This work is part of the Horizon series.

The eye is drawn towards a luminous horizon. The sky seems to transform under the effect of the light. The clouds are suggested by touches of blue, purple, pink and white.

In the distance, a dark line separates the sky from the landscape. It emphasises the depth of the composition.

The foreground is more intense. Reds, pinks, purples and touches of ochre blend together in an expressive texture. The forms remain free and implied.

I wanted to create a landscape where reality gradually gives way to the imagination.

“Horizon 5” evokes a moment suspended in time. A light appears in the distance, inviting the eye to follow its path.

You can also discover “Horizon 1”, “Horizon 2” and “Horizon 3”, three further artworks from the Horizon series.
