Abstraction

The ‘Abstraction’ series brings together works in which colour, texture and brushwork take precedence over representation.

Free from any figurative references, these paintings invite the viewer to form their own personal interpretation, guided by emotions, sensations and the imagination.

If you’d like to find out what led me to adopt this artistic approach, I invite you to read my article“My Journey Towards Abstraction”.

From 2019 onwards, I gradually began to explore abstraction, whilst developing a more personal approach to landscape painting, in which colour, emotion and the imagination play a key role.

Influenced by the work of Fernand Léger, Wassily Kandinsky and Jean Paulhan, among others (both their art and writings), I discovered the expressive power of geometric abstraction and the freedom it offers the eye.

Through this series, I seek to create rhythms, structure space and establish a balance between lines, shapes and colours. Each composition is a quest for harmony, where geometric rigour and sensitivity meet.
