Awakening (Éveil)

Artwork Sold – Private Collection

I was inspired to paint this work by reading Albert Camus’s novel “The Stranger”. This piece is entitled “Awakening”, in reference to philosophical awakening and the realisation of oneself and the world around us.

I sought to capture the essence of light and energy through a refined and contemplative composition. Abstraction opens up a space for inner dialogue, whilst minimalism evokes calm and serenity.

Dominated by shades of green, yellow, orange and purple, the luminous palette evokes nature, clarity and renewal. Acrylic blends with sand and marble powder, creating a living, sensitive texture that enriches the surface of the work. The harmony of the colours establishes a dynamic balance, a subtle interplay between energy and tranquillity.

“Awakening” is an invitation to slow down, to observe and to reflect. The work offers a moment of contemplation in which light becomes a symbol of a new awareness and a more attentive presence in the world.
