“Eawy 3” is part of the “Eawy” series, inspired by the Eawy Forest in Normandy, one of the largest beech forests in France.

This artwork has its origins in a stay in the heart of this majestic forest. I was struck by a vast clearing surrounded by centuries-old beech trees, as well as by the changing colours of the landscape throughout the seasons.

Through an abstract approach, I have sought to capture the sensations and memories associated with this place. The shapes and colours leave room for the imagination.

The colours evoke the lawns and apple trees marked by a hot, dry summer. Certain shades also bring to mind the flowers in the garden and the joy of children playing in the summer light.

Created using acrylic paint, sand and marble powder, the work features a rich, textured surface. The reliefs lend depth and vibrancy to the composition.

With “Eawy 3″, I wanted to capture the energy of a landscape experienced and felt. An invitation to contemplation, blending nature, memory and emotion.
