Translation

Artwork Sold – Private Collection

“Translation” is a contemporary abstract geometric painting that explores the movement of shapes and colours. The composition evokes a sense of continuous motion, in which each element seems to glide, transform and naturally find its place.

Shades of green and blue dominate the work. They are warmed by touches of orange, ochre, yellow and pink, which bring light and contrast. The geometric shapes interact with freer brushstrokes, creating a balance between structure and spontaneity.

Created using acrylic paint with sand and marble powder, this work features a rich texture that lends depth and relief. The textures catch the light and enhance the sense of movement.

With “Translation”, I sought to convey this idea of constant transformation. The forms shift, intersect and evolve throughout the composition. This contemporary abstract painting invites the eye to wander freely and allows each viewer to imagine their own path.

“Translation” was the artwork featured on the poster for the 2026 Josas Painters’ Fair, where I was the guest of honour. Find out more about this event on my Exhibitions page.
