“Lapping 2” is part of the Lapping series. It is a contemporary abstract painting.

This artwork is inspired by the shifting reflections of water and light, which transform the landscape from one moment to the next.

Deep blues meet bursts of yellow, ochre and green. The composition evokes nature in motion, where shapes appear and disappear as if carried by the waves.

Acrylic paint, sand and marble powder combine to create a dense, luminous texture. The textured surface enhances the sense of depth and fluidity.
