Vestiges

450

This painting entitled “Eté aux abords des étangs d’Hollande” is part of the “Nature Abstraction” series.
It was inspired by a scorching summer walk in the heart of the Rambouillet forest, around the rocks of Angennes in Poigny-la-Forêt in the Yvelines (France).
Its colors evoke the ferns burned by the sun, the pines, the birches and the oaks, as well as the source of a small river, which is called the Guesle. The cracks evoke the rocks; the fragility and friability of these astonishing chaos of strangely shaped sandstone. The rocks of Angennes are a “must see” of the forest massif of Rambouillet. Here mingle the mineral and the vegetable, far from the urban trepidations.

In this artwork, I have combined acrylic with marble powder to create a semi-abstract landscape, where minimalism opens the door to underlying emotions. Each brushstroke embodies a feeling, an ephemeral thought. It’s a celebration of delicacy and power, inviting quiet reflection. Energy emanates from the canvas, bringing a dynamic and calming atmosphere to any living space.
This painting entitled “Vestiges” was inspired by a walk around the ponds of Hollande near Versailles (France) during summer.

The ponds of Holland are ponds fitted out in the 17th century to supply the basins of the Palace of Versailles, which have become a nature reserve for many birds.
