“Over there” is a contemporary semi-abstract painting inspired by the landscapes of Sète. Rather than a faithful representation, this artwork offers a poetic interpretation of them. I sought to capture the light, the colours and the emotions evoked by the Mediterranean, rather than the details of the landscape.
Shades of blue, turquoise, pink, yellow and green blend into a soft, luminous composition. The colours overlap, creating a horizon where the sky, the sea and the land seem to become one.
Created using acrylic paint mixed with sand and marble powder, this work features delicate textures that lend depth and dimension. The forms remain free-flowing, suggesting a landscape without depicting it. They invite the viewer to let their imagination wander.
With “Over there”, I sought to evoke that sense of escape that the seaside provides. This contemporary semi-abstract painting celebrates the beauty of Mediterranean landscapes through a sensitive and poetic vision. It brings softness, light and serenity to an interior.
The edges are painted, allowing the artwork to be displayed without a frame.
The artwork is signed and countersigned on the back of the canvas.
