“Horizon 8” is a semi-abstract painting that invites the viewer to contemplate a landscape straddling reality and the imagination. This artwork is part of the Horizon series.
The sky plays a prominent role in the composition. The clouds unfold in various shades of blue. Touches of pink and white lend softness and light.
On the horizon, the pink becomes more prominent. It creates a gentle, slightly dreamlike atmosphere. The landscape seems to gradually blend into the light.
The foreground is more textured and colourful. Blues, purples and pinks mingle with touches of turquoise, yellow and ochre. The forms remain implied, giving free rein to the imagination.
With “Horizon 8”, I sought to create a poetic and contemplative landscape. A space where the eye can lose itself amidst the sky, light and form.
